Dawnwood makes serialized drama with AI. The same tools that render a fictional cast can be pointed at real people, so this policy is short and strict. It is part of our Terms of Service (section 7); where the two differ, the stricter rule applies.
1. Real people
- No real person's face or voice without written consent. Reference photos you upload for a character must be of people who have agreed, in writing, to appear in AI-generated video. Public figures are not an exception.
- No minors as reference material, ever — with or without consent. Characters written as children are rendered from generated faces only.
- Our rendering providers run their own likeness detection. If a shot is rejected, use a compliant reference before trying again. Failed renders are not charged, or reserved credits are returned.
2. Sexual and violent content
- No sexual content involving minors or anyone who appears to be a minor. This is reported to the authorities, not just removed.
- No sexually explicit content. Romance and implied intimacy within a mainstream broadcast standard are fine; explicit nudity and sexual acts are not.
- Violence is a normal part of drama. Gore for its own sake, real-world atrocities re-enacted, and content that glorifies or instructs violence are not.
3. Deception and harm
- No content designed to be mistaken for real footage of real events or people, including political deepfakes and fabricated news.
- No harassment, hate, defamation or doxxing dressed as fiction.
- No infringement of others' scripts, characters, trademarks or music. Adapting a work you do not own requires a license.
4. The platform itself
- One person, one account. Creating additional accounts to collect signup credits again is a violation; we may withdraw signup credits on linked accounts.
- No scraping, probing, load testing, or reselling access. The agent API is for driving your own productions.
- Publishing through connected accounts must follow each platform's rules; we apply their synthetic-media labels where the API allows it.
5. AI disclosure
Everything Dawnwood renders is AI-generated. Delivery packs carry a machine-readable provenance manifest and an AI-content disclosure. When you distribute Output, you are responsible for any disclosure the destination platform or your jurisdiction requires; do not remove the labels we apply. How we trace output, prevent deepfakes and respond to incidents is set out in the AI Content Safety, Provenance & Incident Response page.
6. Enforcement
- We may review flagged content and suspend or terminate access for violations, with notice where practicable.
- Credits are forfeited when an account is terminated for violating this policy, including purchased credits, except where a refund is required by law. Nothing in this policy limits refunds owed for failed renders.
- Report abuse to abuse@dawnwood.ai. Copyright notices go to legal@dawnwood.ai as described in the Terms.
