Short answerWriting is free. Credits are spent on images, voices, rendered seconds, covers, language versions and rewrites of approved scripts, always at the rates shown before you confirm. When the balance hits zero, paid generation pauses where it is, nothing is lost, and a top-up lets it continue.

One take per shot group is included in the render. Every further take bills per second, whether you ordered it or the quality check called for it. See credits and render rates for the engines and the three credit pools.
Wizard gates show the exact total on the button: Confirm: 24 images + 3 voices · 150 cr. Render groups are estimated before they render. The Line Producer confirms the plan before it spends on your behalf and never quotes prices; its work is metered at the rates above.
Top up with a pack or a plan from Billing, then render again. The pipeline resumes from where it stopped.
The model is charge, then refund. A render whose takes never finished, or a tool job that failed, is refunded to the pool the credits came from and appears in your ledger as a refund line. A finished take you simply dislike is not a failure; changing it is a retake.
